The Universities and Max Planck Institutes in Tübingen and Stuttgart enjoy outstanding reputations in the natural and computer sciences, and each of them has a high number of world-class faculty in these fields. Since the Cyber Valley partnership was initiated at the end of 2016, several new professorships have been established at the universities, some of which are financed by endowments. These have further strengthened research excellence and made a decisive contribution to the flourishing Cyber Valley ecosystem in southwestern Germany.
